Behan Els’ love for golf began almost as soon as he could walk.
He held his first golf club at just 1 year and 3 months old, and from that moment, his little plastic golf club became everything to him. It went everywhere with him. What started as play quickly became passion.
By the age of 6, Behan began playing golf seriously and soon after started receiving coaching. But more than anything, Behan has always been a self-driven learner. He taught himself much of what he knows by watching, asking questions, and eagerly learning from anyone willing to share their knowledge. His curiosity, work ethic, and hunger to improve have been constant from the very beginning.
As parents, our role has always been simple — to support, encourage, and guide him, and to do everything we can to help make his dreams possible.
