Help Denver Get a Chance at Life without Pain
When Denver was found on the side of the road near the Dunoon informal settlement, he was so young, he was the size of a kitten. Alone, vulnerable, and with no one looking out for him, his future seemed uncertain.
He was taken into foster care and soon it became clear that he had something truly special. His intelligence, gentle nature, and eagerness to learn led to him being selected for training as a *multipurpose assistance dog*, where he would one day help someone living with psychiatric and mobility challenges regain confidence and independence.
He wasn't just another rescue dog. He was going to change someone's life.
He began his training and achieved a Canine Good Citizen bronze award from Kennel Union SA.
Then everything changed.
During his training, Denver was diagnosed with *patellar luxation*, a painful condition that causes his kneecap to slip out of place. The dog who was meant to support someone else's mobility could no longer continue his training because of his own cond...
