Help Stewart Represent SA at Hockey World Cup🇿🇦

Hi, my name is Stacey, and I’m writing this with a mixture of pride, nerves and a lump in my throat.

My husband, Stewart, has been selected to represent South Africa at the 2026 Masters Hockey World Cup in the Netherlands (July/August).

Just typing that still feels unreal.

Stewart is turning 45 in March, and hockey has been part of his life since primary school. It’s never been “just a sport” to him — it’s what keeps him grounded, it fuels his passion, and it’s where he feels most like himself.

He has tried out for this team three times, and this year… he finally made it.  When he got the email announcement, he didn’t jump up and shout.  He just went quiet, stared at the screen and sat there in disbelief.
I knew in that moment that something inside him had changed, because this wasn’t just selection, this was the dream he’s carried for most of his life.
