The Cederberg has a way of changing people.

Maybe it’s the mountains, the silence, the rivers, or the endless stars. For me, it has always been more than a beautiful place. It is a place filled with stories, resilience, and incredible people.

Through Love Our Trails, we’ve spent years working in the Cederberg — supporting fire relief, conservation projects, trail work, and community initiatives. But the most meaningful part has been the relationships built with the people who call this place home.

One thing became clear: many local communities are surrounded by tourism, yet often don’t benefit from it.

One of those places is Langkloof.

Hidden on the road to Wuppertal, Langkloof is rich in history, heart, and natural beauty. It is home to families who have lived in the Cederberg for generations — and a community full of potential.

That is why we are so excited about this project.
