In 2024 Kyle Malyon, completed a solo circumnavigation of South Africa, this was done to raise awareness and funds for H.E.R.D. (An elephant orphanage in Kapama)
Skip forward to 2026 and he is planning another trip for the same cause. This time he will have Lauren Lewis along for the ride.
12 August is World Elephant day and the intend to travel from Joburg to Jabulani (The home of H.E.R.D) in Kapama Reserve using various means of transport. What this looks like is going from car to motorbike to train to bus etc.
On arrival they will be handing over a cheque to H.E.R.D Trust towards the care of the orphaned elephants. Through various events they have already raised some funds but as we all know elephants are big eaters so every bit extra that can be added to the pot will go a long way.
