Sashwa Staff Flood Relief

From mid-January 2026, heavy and persistent rains across northern South Africa caused widespread flooding, particularly in the Limpopo region, where Sashwa River of Stars is situated.

While Sashwa itself sustained minimal damage and is well insured, many members of our team were personally and deeply affected. Believe, our beloved gardener, tragically lost his uncle; others carry the trauma of seeing rising waters, and a few have had roofs damaged and homes flooded, resulting in difficult personal challenges. Unfortunately, they do not enjoy comprehensive insurance like our lodge.

Many of our past guests have asked how they can help, so we have started this Back a Buddy page. 

Our staff have shown strength and positivity, supporting each other and doing their best to stay resilient. With just a small contribution, you can help them recover from this flooding and keep those amazing smiles on their faces.
