On the evening of 23 July 2025, Coach Jeremy Petersen’s family home was tragically targeted in a petrol bombing incident. Thankfully, everyone escaped unharmed and with only minor smoke inhalation.
Most devastatingly, the home served as the storage site for all of Mitchell's Plain Kickboxing's training equipment, including gym gear used for client sessions. Everything—from boxing gloves and pads to weights and mats and much more—was lost in the fire.
Despite this heartbreaking setback, Coach Jeremy Petersen remains committed to his mission. Training continues, albeit under challenging circumstances, as he refuses to let this tragedy halt the progress and hope he has cultivated within his community.
