It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of Phathiswa “Patty” Mkunjulwa, who lost her life during the recent storm when a falling tree struck the uber she was travelling in on her way to work. Her sudden passing has left her family, friends, colleagues, and community heartbroken.

Patty was more than a colleague and friend — she was a devoted mother, a kind and gentle soul, and a constant source of warmth to everyone around her. Her smile, compassion, and strength touched countless lives. Those who knew her speak of her generosity, her welcoming spirit, and the love she carried for her children above all else.

Today, her children face an unimaginable loss: the loss of their mother, protector, and provider.
