The Gabriella Effect is a family and community-led mission for justice, accountability, systemic reform and ending GBVF in South Africa.
We are the family of Nonkululeko Gabriella “Gaby” Luenza Ndaba, and we are raising funds to support the ongoing work connected to seeking justice for Gaby’s case.
Gaby who was 31 years old when she went missing on 26 may 2023, was a mastermind. She was studying law, gifted in business administration and compliance, and a natural organiser who brought order and possibility into almost any space. She was also an artist of many mediums: painting, drawing, singing, writing, directing and acting. In the month Gaby was killed, she was awarded support from the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) to host and perform a theatre production. She was an empath and a deeply intentional person who carried spectacular dreams for her communities and wanted to positively impact the world. Wherever she went, she added value. As her own wealth and capacity grew, she gave as far as she could reach.
